Fagerhult's social responsibility

Fagerhult participates in a number of different social projects, often local initiatives involving direct collaboration with interest groups, branch organizations, centers for higher education and authorities.

In Sweden, we participate in control groups for technical training courses, which provides us the opportunity to influence course content, along with inspiring students’ interest in Fagerhult as a future employer. We also act as a sponsor for a number of university students each year. This provides us with valuable knowledge and information regarding new theories and scientific breakthroughs. Furthermore, personal contact with students and teachers also helps spread the image of Fagerhult as an attractive employer.

We have also chosen to work with organizations through funding and cooperation agreements. During 2009, Fagerhult has supported charity organizations, such as Hand in hand and Erikshjälpen. Our support for Erikshjälpen has been directed towards an international project aimed at installing solar collectors and solar panels in homes and schools which lack electricity. These schools could, thereby, continue instruction for students in the evenings, and families could receive electricity in their homes.
